About Our Writer:Russ Beck walks his dog, fishes the streams and snowshoes with his wife in Northern Utah. He recently finished an MFA in nonfiction at Goucher College and co-edits the nonfiction magazine braidedbrook.com He is currently shopping for agents to represent his memoir about his time as a Mormon missionary/kidney doner. Russ teaches writing at Utah State University.

About Our Artist: Elise Beck Brundage has been creating art her entire life. A senior at Utah State University, Elise studies painting/printmaking and art education. Recently Kathy Puzey introduced her to the world of woodcuts. From sketching on a block to carving it with her bare hands (power tools feel too impersonal for Elise), she enjoys the whole process involved in creating woodcuts. Through this all, she connects with her art on an emotional and physical level.
